Will my home experience a power interruption when using Quasar 2 for backup?

Yes, but only at the onset and end of a grid outage if you’ve purchased and installed a PRU to island your home from the grid. When a grid outage starts, there will be a brief power interruption (typically ~30 seconds) while Quasar 2 establishes communication with the vehicle and switches into backup mode, followed by a short interruption (2–3 seconds) when grid power returns.
If your usage is below 500W, the PRU will not kick-in, so ensure that your total home consumption is above this level.
During normal operation of your Quasar 2, no interruptions should be expected.
