If I’ve already installed an EV charger at my home, am I still eligible to participate in the program?

Yes, you may be depending on your home's electrical capacity and other factors.

Yes. A bidirectional charger can either replace or complement a standard (one-way) EV charger, offering additional benefits:

  • allows you to save money on your utility bill
  • allows you to earn money in grid programs
  • can improve your EV battery life, maintaining strong battery performance throughout its life, while lasting up to 1-2 years longer
  • allows your vehicle to participate in smart charging and trip planning
  • reduces carbon emissions compared to fueling a gas-powered vehicle

After applying to one of our programs, we’ll direct you to request a quote from our installation partners. At that point, please mention your interest either to add the bidirectional charger to or replace your existing system with it. Installers can advise on your home’s eligibility and your options.
