How are Bidirectional Energy rebates funded?
In Connecticut, Bidirectional Energy was awarded a grant through the State of Connecticut’s Innovative Energy Solutions program to conduct a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) pilot program. This pilot program is paid for by customers through a portion of the Public Benefits charge which funds the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority’s (PURA) Innovative Energy Solutions (IES) program.
In California, rebates and V2G performance payouts are funded by a grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) to reduce barriers to adoption of bidirectional charging and increase flexible grid resources that help keep energy cheaper for all ratepayers.
