# How do I set my EV's charging schedule?

## The Bidirectional Energy app is built to keep you in control and ready to drive.

All you need to do is specify in the app your “Ready-by Schedule”, the time you need your car to be ready. You can set a weekday vs. weekend schedule, a unique schedule for each day, or a one-off schedule for (e.g. — a road trip that you’re planning).

After that, you can sit back and allow us to handle the rest. Bidirectional Energy’s platform intelligently  manages the charge and discharge of your EV battery to best capture your utility bill savings and to earn you money from your EV’s participation in grid events. However, our number one priority for every driver is to ensure your car is ready when you need it.
